Fiber Info/Questionnaire.:|:.Fiber FAQ.:|:.Vendor/Contractor Registration.:|:.Construction Map RCEC Receives Funding Through USDA On Monday, January 25th 2010, The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) awarded Ralls County Electric Cooperative a total of $19,097,817 in grants and loans to help provide broadband services to residential and commercial members of Ralls County. This USDA funding is provided by the Recovery Act Broadband Infrastructure program through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The money will be used to provide broadband services to unserved or underserved communities. The Ralls County Electric Cooperative has been awarded a $9,548,908 grant and a $9,548,909 low-interest government loan. With the help of our contracting firm, Pulse Broadband, we will be deploying an advanced fiber network to connect every residential and commerical account on the RCEC electrical network. But what does this mean to you and for RCEC? Since the award was announced, there has been an influx of calls regarding our project.
